Lost in the City

I had this dream just before l started this blog.

Image hosted by Photobucket.comI was in a north american metropalitan city that l once lived in. It had been many years since my last visit. All the names of the streets were the same, but the buildings had all changed.

The buildings were all gothic with a oriential flare to them.It was raining and l was drenched. I kept walking around in the rain looking for my fathers apartment. I couldn't find it even though l was on the right street. I stoped a person on the street and asked where 1375 was.
Kindly enough he showed me the apartment building.

When l was in front of the building l thought "wow" this is amazing, this cant be. I enter the building and get into the elavator. Inside the elavator l was shocked to see it was lined with gold.

The elavator stops and l get out and l realize im on the wrong floor. Im about to get back into the elavator and thats when l woke up.

Hi,
You're right in one of my "territories" there :-) I find dreams have a more profound message when you "read" each element as a part of your own personality.

For instance, if I am dreaming of a car, the car is part of me. And what does a car mean to me? Transport, movement, communication, my body. Is it running well in the dream? Broken down, needing attention?

I dream a lot about being in hotels. They are usually quite luxurious hotels, but there's some sort of conflict going on there. I would think that the message is that I am on some sort of journey with problems and hassles that I am managing to handle as they come up. This is life. The other people in the dreams are nearly always strangers in waking life, but familiar in my dreams. And it depends on what the dream-person's personality is like as to the full meaning of the dream. If you can understand all that! Just crazy Zen speak again! It would be interesting to have some comments. I look forward to visiting again... :-)

Your Lost in the City dreams could possibly mean your aspirations to higher things. This could be in a worldly sense or a spiritual sense.

If you can see yourself as being the magnificent building... You may get a better meaning from that point...
